The highlight of this show for me, as you’ll hear, is the rediscovery of a song from my youth. The artist is unknown. The song comes from a cassette tape that my dad used to play on every long car ride, he must have made it back in the early 80’s from his record collection. This particular song comes from a Simi Valley battle of the bands vinyl compilation. I’ve got to find his copy of the record somewhere to see what other gems there are (and to find out who does this song). This song is as powerful of a reminder of my childhood as the smell of freshly baked cookies are to everyone else.
