I haven’t done a radio show on 9/11 since the 9/11. A long overdue tribute to one of the more terrifying days ever. And what a more fitting tribute than four solid hours of songs about war and terror?

Once I did the math and realized I was going to be on the air on 9/11, I started putting this together. I don’t think I’ve ever put this much time into one show, so hopefully someone out there enjoys this. No folk songs. No hippy-dippy shit. These songs are about war (either anti-war or pro-destruction) but either way they’re exciting, enjoyable and hopefully entertaining.

I love war songs. When you’re writing a war song, you’re going for it. I like that. In fact, I like it so much that my band Foot Village just released an album about war. You can download our epic war song, Reggae War Zone, here. It’s not folk music either.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not pro-war. I’m pro-war-songs. There’s a difference. I think this show highlights that.
