Speaking of goldmines, I recently found a great site that posts One Minute Vacations every week (on hiatus for the past year, but there’s hundreds archived). Each mp3 is a little time-capsule of a different location in the world. Lots from the site owner’s field recording archives, and even more from random submissions from viewers. It’s pretty amazing. All over the place. I loaded my mp3 player with all of them and riding bikes a little tipsy has been really delightful.
