Q: Why is everything that is coming out of Baltimore beyond amazing?
A: I have no idea.
Future Islands are my favorite export from Charm City, but I guess It’s Wham City now.
I got to see them last night at Death By Audio and man where to start. Seeing Future Islands is like seeing Danzig’s kid running though a suped-up version of your favorite 8-bit video games. I dont think Sam means to look or sound like Danzig (pre makeup) it just kinda happens. Lil’ Danzig’s hair just seems to fall into makeshift devilhawk as he conducts the dance party. I also want to make sure I take the time to applaud his blue searsucker suit he had on last night, it was wonderful.

What about the rest of the band? They were wonderful as well, they just didn’t move as much.

They only had an old 7 song cdr “little advances” for sale at the show but I was assured they will be putting more out soon.
